Lunch Money for Wheels

I had a conversation with a friend earlier that perfectly captures what mini truck culture has always been about.

“I saved my lunch money through my sophomore and junior year of high school to buy a set of 15-inch KMC Talons for my Hardbody. Those were the days.”

That’s the kind of dedication that built this scene.

Before overnight shipping and easy financing, it was mowing lawns, skipping lunches, and saving every dollar just to get that one part you’d been dreaming about. Those parts meant something because you worked for them, and when you finally bolted them on that swell of pride was unmatched.

Something I want you to think about now. What was the first part you saved up for, and what did you sacrifice to make it happen?
